We Love Puzzles

These are the official rules ("Rules") that will govern your participation in the Season 2 of Perplex City. By registering and solving puzzles, you agree to be bound by these Rules and the decisions of We Love Puzzles regarding their interpretation and applicability.

1. You will accrue points during a season when you correctly enter the solution to the daily puzzle on welovepuzzles.com or when you enter a Perplex City Season 2 card unique id with the correct solution. Each puzzle is intended to have only one correct answer, and only the answer designated as the winning correct answer by Perplex City will be accepted as the winning answer. Welovepuzzles.com may introduce new points earning puzzles at any point in the future.
2. You must have a valid registered account with welovepuzzles.com and be signed in prior to submitting a puzzle solution otherwise you won't earn any points.
3. Each Puzzle will indicate how many points you will earn. The actual number of points depends on the difficulty level of the puzzle and is set by Mind Candy or the puzzle creator.
4. Unfortunately, no points are earned for playing 'Slamboozle', 'Flash Games' of the 'other online puzzles' but if you are the current high scorer in Slamboozle or any Flash Game, your status will be recognized on We Love Puzzles.
5. Be careful when submitting your solution for a puzzle card, only three attempts to solve a particular puzzle card are permitted within a 24 hour period. This is to prevent people from just repeatedly guessing an answer. After the 24 hours have passed, you can have another three tries, and so on. But you can attempt to answer online puzzles as many times you like.
6. As you accumulate Perplex City points, your total points will be displayed on your profile page and on various league tables in the community section. As you reach the following point level thresholds your profile will be updated to show that you have successfully reached the next level:
   • Red: 0 to 1,999 points
   • Orange: 2,000 to 4,999 points
   • Yellow: 5,000 to 14,999 points
   • Green: 15,000 to 34,999 points
   • Blue: 35,000 to 69,999 points
   • Purple: 70,000 to 119,999 points
   • Black: 120,000 to 169,999 points
   • Silver: 170,000+
   • Gold New special level. How you achieve it is a mystery.
7. Perplex City points and level designations have no monetary or exchange value on or off the site.
8. We Love Puzzles may offer special puzzle competitions at any time. These competitions will be governed by separate terms and rules and may or may not include prizes for the winners, but Perplex City points are not awarded for these special competitions.
9. Season 2: Season 2 begins on March 1st 2007 at 17.00pm, London time and will run for approximately one year. You will be notified of the closing date.
10. Perplex City Season 2 is open only to residents of the UK and such other jurisdictions where access of the We Love Puzzles site and participation is not prohibited by law, and who are fourteen (14) years of age or older as of the start date of Season 2. To the extent not modified by these Rules, the terms of use and privacy policy of welovepuzzles.com are incorporated into and will govern your participation in Season 2.
