I've read the card, but the question doesn't ask for that.

It says what am I?

so I haven't actually got the answer to that yet. Any clues to that?

Jezza

You have written what the card says and a larger part of the answer. Please consider putting this as a spoiler.

AS per your question

Spoiler: (highlight to read)

If you turn the text upside down, can you still read the same thing?

The spring of acacia refers to the immortality of the soul.

Have a read through the page 1 posts. There should be enough hints to point your search in the right direction.
If not - Really big giveaway hint

Here's another massive hint. If this doesn't set alarm bells ringing, there's no hope!!!

Spoiler: (highlight to read)

The Puzzle architect is Eric Harshbarger. He has a website, which is

http ://www. ericharshbarger.org/

The answer you're looking for is somewhere there. Good luck!

Hmmm.

I found this card almost impossible to read, particularly around the middle. I'd picked it up many times, just to throw it back in disgust.

But once you know what it says, you are looking for a term to describe such a thing. Googling for the answer makes it easy. Even, if like me, you come up with a similar but wrong term first.

"Out on a limb!"

*Checks* Oh yes! Sorry about that Oh well, the principle of the spoiler remains the same regardless of the architect.

Hi I'm trying to find out how to contact MC, as I would like to clarify certain details of a card.
Specifically I want to know some details of #226 'The Great Bomb chase' from Season 2.

I found a couple of e-mail addresses but I've had no reply, and the majoity of perplexcity forums look to have been dead for a while - the post above this is the 1st one in quite a while.

So... If you know a way to contact MC, or any of the puzzle setters, or if you know of a site where MC posted card clarifications, etc.

Please e-mail me - I might not notice a reply on a forum.

Here's my e-mail address **I've reversed the 1st 2 letters to try and fool any spam bots and the stars are there to highlight it- NB. it really is an 'x' in the middle**

**ts**ixmclean@aol.com

So.. remove the stars reverse the letters, and give me a shout.

Thanks.

yours Brondahl.

the quickest way to do that brondahl would be to place a request or search on the individual thread set aside for that card.

What do you mean 'Place a request'?

I've looked on many forums and all of them are full of ppl saying 'Well I reckon this is the most obvious interpretation' or 'Well, I assumed this and that, then I got it down to 3 choices and I guessed and one of my guesses was right' or variations on those themes.

All of which is very helpful If you want to solve the card in order to earn the points or whatever.

But I'm only interested in solving the puzzle and reaching a definitve answer.

well surely either way you have solved the puzzle? whether you do it for pride, points or prizes at the end of the day you have the solution to the puzzle.

But however this is all off topic, Mind candy/welovepuzzles set up the forum in such a way that there is an individual thread for each card. I'd love to help but still haven't got that card, so why not PM people from the thread for the card you require.

Well... No; that's the point. I'm not after the solution, I want to have solved the puzzle - a very subtle difference, I know.

To take it to the extreme, I could have typed all 50 states into the answer field, and then I would have the answer, but as I'm sure you appreciate that would be rather unsatisfactory.

Equally I want to know that I have solved the problem about which they are thinking, not 'a puzzle which is similar and coincidentally has the same answer'.

I recognise that this is problem are rather unusual view point, but hey, I know what I like

I'm going to direct this discussion over to the correct thread: http://www.welovepuzzles.com/jforum/posts/list/79.page

Anything about that card goes over there, this card over here. Or something. Anyway, by all means keep discussing over yonder
