Hint

How else can the terms on the cards be written?

Enjoy!

Did that but didn't see much the appeared useful. Still stumped

Spoiler: (highlight to read)

Are there supposed to be visible letters when the terms are written out fully?

Spoiler: (highlight to read)

YES

Spoiler: (highlight to read)

Write out the full expression for each value given (the right hand side of the equation is most important), e.g. 2^3 = 2x2x2, 1^0 = 1, 3 = 3, 2^1 = 2, 5^3 = 5x5x5. Write each vertical line from the card in the same way and you should start to see something

The last spoiler from Robspot, is exactly what you need to do. Theres nothing else that can be said on how you solve this.

Right (mega-spoiler: don't read if you want to use your brain even a little bit!):

Spoiler: (highlight to read)

The first line is:

2^3
1^1
3
2^1
5^3

Writing them out in full gives you this:

2x2x2
1
3
2
5x5x5

Which looks like a letter, which just so happens to follow 'B'. Do this for every line and you'll have cracked your code!

That looks right to me. Maybe give it 24 hours, and if it still doesn't work, post about it in the Bugs thread.

There's absolutely nothing else (in my opinion). The way to do the puzzle and the answer itself has been spoilered on this thread. I'm pretty sure that no-one else will be able to give you more hints than are already available.

I don't get this card either. When I write out the first couple of lines I get

Spoiler: (highlight to read)

2x2x2
1
3
2
5x5x5

3
0
1
2
3

4
1
2
3
0

3
1
2x2x2
0
2

4x4x4
4
3
1
2

Which as spoiled earlier on this forum is meant to be read as 'Cliff'

Am I missing something here?

Huskydog,

You are forgeting to write out...

Spoiler: (highlight to read)

..the factorials (!). for example, 3! = 3x2x1

Hopefully that will make more sense.
