I too have been working on the assumption it is a question (working down the columns) and am trying to work on some assumptions to figure the method used to code it.

on the understanding the answer page asks for a:

Spoiler: (highlight to read)

one word answer

it is likely that the first word would be

Spoiler: (highlight to read)

what

as

Spoiler: (highlight to read)

when would suggest a date and who / whom a name

but this is a lot of assumptions and a lot of trying to reverse engineer on that assumption.

No luck yet but lots of interesting searches mean i have acquired a new understanding and knowledge of something I had not looked at before - fun fun fun

have been muddling through the same "reverse engineering" process here for several days and have a couple of thoughts

Spoiler: (highlight to read)

i had discounted "what" as the first word because of common language patterns and it being much easier to work with the second and third words being two letters if i start with "name"

possibilities for words 2 & 3 then became
"is" and "an"

unfortunately, i haven't been able to force "Name is (of) an..." into any kind of sustainable cipher

good luck - i am most likely headed down another dead-end path

you are surely right on one account - the research is worth the aggravation

I was thinking along a different line. You guys are probably right though. (I've only just started doing GCSE chemistry subjects. :!
Anyway. The title of it is Gel Together so I found the three chemicals that make up the word GEL.

Spoiler: (highlight to read)

Gu5
MEV
6cl
They are all organic acids: Carboxylic, Mevalonic and Glucopyranosic Acid.

Probably hopeless but, ah well.

Don't the mising blanks look like a DNA double helix a bit? I think it definitely has to have something to do with proteins in all the animals.

Thought I had a brainwave with this...

Spoiler: (highlight to read)

Gel electrophoresis (and some of the other types of electrophoresis) use UV light. I had the sneaking suspicion that the way light fell on the card was unusual as well. So I tried observing it under UV...

But it didn't work! Now, does anyone want to go one better and try:

Spoiler: (highlight to read)

Passing an electric current through the card?

Oh well. Back to the drawing board...

i was thinking along the lines that is has something to do with the missing link between either animals and humans or perhaps birds and mammals.Have tried the following as solutions but no luck : Lucy, Tiktaalik, Archaeopteryx.

What I know about this you could write on the back of a microdot, but -
Is it possible there are missing ligands that fill the spaces and spell out a question or at least give a clue to the answer?

It's all gone veryquiet here! Is anyone having any luck at all? I have been working on the premise that there is a code,

Spoiler: (highlight to read)

possibly 35 letters long (as there are 35 boxes filled in)

but can't seem to fit anything into, well, anything! Have been using

Spoiler: (highlight to read)

Caesar shifts and Vegenere

All to no avail

I'm not lucky enough to own this card so can't try any answers. It looks difficult though, which probably explains why its unsolved
