I was reading Dinosaur Comics today when I noticed a code in it! Coding's never been my forte, but even so I figured that a simple daily webcomic code shouldn't be much of a problem.

Well, a few translation attempts later, and I'm still flummoxed. Does anyone here have a solution for the code at the end of the comic here? I'm pretty sure clicking on the "contact" link gives you a valuable clue about punctuation and spacing and such.

1 Gold Card available for Trade, as well as many Blacks and Silvers (and other cards, including S2W2)! Still looking for...

Season 1: 235, 236, 239, 245, 250, 252-256
Season 2, Wave 1: 229, 231-233
Season 2, Wave 2: 236, 238-241, 243.

Spoiler: (highlight to read)

So the letters are unscrambled to make a phrase:

12 t's, 10 o's, 8 e's, etc.

So the letters are
ttttttttttttooooooooooeeeeeeeeaaaaaaallllllnnnnnnuuuuuuiiiiisssssdddddhhhhhyyyyyIIIrrrfffbbwwkcmvg

Something like:
"It is not what you know but how you choose to..."?

I'm not sure that I understand how you're going from the string of letters to the phrase, trk. I get that the code involves the frequency of certain letters in the message, but your given message seems to have fewer ts than twelve. Or is it a percentage thing rather than a direct number-to-number relationship?

I'm no good at anagrams but this is what it is, hence the hint above it. So essentially you have to play around with common words until you can make sense of it. Not easy though.

That was just a suggested start... bearing in mind the context of the rest of the comic strip.

Ahhh, gotcha. Thanks. I've got a better way to frame the challenge in my mind at any rate.

And if it's an anagram, I might actually have a ghost of a chance.
