Someone I know contacted Mind Candy about this bug in November but it still seems to be an issue.

Certain cards (the one that isn't working for me is 033 of season one) produce "Unknown error" messages (not invalid ID; this is something else) like this:

(Click for bigger picture)

Also, the help email that was given (website-errors@perplexcity.com) was an invalid address; it just bounced.

(The picture is old but I get exactly the same error message today at timestamp Thu May 29 06:29:32 BST 2008 and every time I've tried it since November.)

Come on, guys, I knew the answer to this card within a couple of seconds but it's taken more than six months and I still can't input it!

Since upgrading to Firefox 3 I get the following messages when loading a puzzle or Slamboozle:

Movie content could not be loaded

Anyone else experiencing this problem? Or even better, know how to fix it?

I seem to have all of the same Add-ons installed that I did when I was running Firefox 2. And everything worked fine then.

At the moment I have to use Internet Explorer to do my puzzling...

It's funny you should say that, I've been having the same problem, but only at home. The system I use at work (same OS, same Firefox 3, same Adobe Flash for Linux) works fine. I haven't been able to track down what the difference is yet.

I'm having the exact same issue with the daily puzzles (the flash games don't work either; I just get a blank window).

I've had FF 3 for a few months now and no issues previously; my Flash player is also up to date. I'm running Noscript and Adblock but have WLP allowed on both so that shouldn't be the cause.

ETA Jan 8 2009: Viewing the page source shows that the proper code for the game is in there (directly under the "this movie could not be loaded" block), I'm not fluent enough in Javascript to figure what the exact problem is.

So: WinXP Home up to date, FF 3.0.5 and can't see any puzzles; the problem for me seems to have started on Jan 5th. Does everyone else have similar specs?

I found on Linux that it started working once I removed the flash support library. (left over from earlier OS version)

I had this problem when I'd just installed Firefox on a fresh OS install. Solved it by installing the Flash plug-in from Adobe:
