I'm opting for special until The Third Power show up

Anyone got any other insights into the extra bit of story we have now? Jezza's comments have got me thinking that we might not be going off continent but maybe a eurostar arriving at st pancras from gay paris...?

Thanks batgirl! Living up North, it's a bit hard to get involved with London goings-on. Thanks to you I can still be a bit involved in proceedings.

OK. I've just seen the photos of Ray and Lynn's proposed new house compared to the dolls' house and I'm officially freaked out.

If this were some film I'd be rolling my eyes right about now as it's SO obvious but the way this is presented has got me feeling about 8 years old again.

Fantastic!

What I'm wondering is...should we be trying to call the phone number of the real estate agent posted (very clearly) in one of the photos from Ray and Lynn's house hunting expedition?

It's brilliant, I love it, they're all geniuses

I had a look through their website but with so many properties in London, I couldn't track it down...

Just a glimmering of a thought here. On the competition page, there are/will be questions from each of the stories. Upon looking at the first two questions and finding the answers, I'm wondering if there may be a pattern emerging here.

Spoiler: (highlight to read)

If I have the answers correct, and I'm not sure I do, then the first is Kings*** and the second is Queens****, so I'm wondering if any other playing cards will be making an appearance.

Any thoughts?

I can see where you're going but doesn't the first answer begin with a P? Going by the text of the story rather than the map itself.

It'll be interesting to see if you're right.

That's what I thought at first, but when I looked at the map, I saw a town with the name beginning with the other letter. Perhaps I am trying to force the facts to fit my theory rather than other way around...

OK. I have been doing a bit of digging & have come up with some odd links. Bear with me, I'm not sure if any of this means anything!

1. Christolina Minaret is an anagram for "Her Noritic Talisman"
2. Noritic means Norwegian, and there was a Norwegian cruiser called "Talisman" in use during the war.
3.There are also a load of books about Navy cruisers & the war on the shelves in Lisa's room.
4. There is a book called "A Distant Mirror" there too.

I'm off to dig around the house a bit more!

heres the link to the ship in question, doesn't help much now, but you never know!

I've finished my fairy tale and I'm so far failing to see any ARG element to it so I'm hoping I'm just being blind in some way and maybe experimenting with some different answers might give me some insight...

I don't think this can be the real thing, it's gotta be an April Fool!

I just looked at the e-mail I was sent to say Fairy tales was up, and apparently we are supposed to be able to share the story. How?

Hello from We Tell Stories!

Welcome to Week 3 of We Tell Stories and thank you for sticking with
us and contributing to Slice with your blog comments, twitters and
attention. This week's story is something completely different - a
fairytale that you can personalize and share.

---

FAIRYTALE by Kevin Brooks
'Once upon a time...'

...there was a fairy tale, a story of peasants, kings, drunken knaves,
wise old poets and, er, worms. But if you go down to the woods today
you can customize and share your very own fairy tale with bestselling
storyteller Kevin Brooks guiding you along a dark path. Choose the
names of the characters, choose their adversaries, shape their
adventure and then share the customized story. This fairytale is
specially for *you*.
