Hmm, haven't posted here yet, for some strange reason. I'm not actually sure what to say. Happy Cube day everyone!, for a start. Despite the fact it's nearly over
I guess I might as well say my thanks to everyone who's stuck around here since the Cube was dug up. I know that there's not a huge amount, but a significant number. I probably wouldn't still be hanging around this place if it wasn't for you. So thanks. It's been a great year, in a somewhat ironic way! I especially want to thank Bookmore for all the work he's put in bringing these interviews together. I liked the little trail (even though I knew what it was for!) and I think it's the perfect way to celebrate the day. And I'll leave it there. The best thanks are usually left unwritten, at least to me. |

Well, it's still Cube Day here in the U.S., so happy Endgame everyone!
It's been fun folks. I know I was never much of a player in this, so only some of the folks here know me. But I have to say, hearing that the Cube was found was a great moment for me. I had been playing since the San Francisco Connection, and that was really what got me hooked. I solved a few cards, lurked in the UF and Perplexorum IRC rooms. Posted my dumb ideas an clueless solutions to puzzles on the boards. Though I wasn't responsible for...really anything that helped us find the cube, other than a few questions during the San Fran online quiz, I'm still glad to be a part of this community. I'll be hanging around; in fact, I recently began doing the Daily Puzzles again Catch you kids later.
P.S. Bookmore-Sad to see you go, man! Hopefully we'll see you around if PxC Stories ever shows its face!

Wow, i can't believe it's been a year since Hawk and the others reported finding the damp wet card by the very cube shaped hole, and then the suspense of waiting to hear…
Great interview Book, and a lovely read. My heart really goes out to Rand0m re. his 'worst moment' i'm really glad Mind Candy came to the rescue! Also I just want to echo Tally's sentiments, Rand0m/Andy is such a lovely, genuine guy (a nicer, more deserving community spirited person couldn’t have ‘won’) and an absolute pleasure to meet at the Cube Found party, like Tally said I would never have known you were feeling that nervous - you obviously can put on a great PR face! I was just amazed it was you who seeked me out at the party, (i was too shy to say congrats to you in person!) I'm really glad to read that life is going well for you and your Beloved Other Half and that pxc has lead to a new hobby of geocatching and all that funness . (far, far too outdoorsy for me!)
Happy Cube Found Day wishes to everyone still out there! |

_izzy_ wrote: so.... anyone got a semacode reader? I used one a while back called Semadrop, which was a java based one you install on your PC. Was pretty cool, you just dragged an image into it and it gave you the URL. However, it looks like it's not available anymore from www.semapedia.net. Maybe there is somewhere else you can find it now. |
