Thanks to the Penguin stories I found my way here; I hope you don't mind a stranger entering this chat!

Has anyone else chosen to meet the Mysterious Goblin? That was my first choice.

Is it possible to have a happy ending to this story

BTW "Your Place and Mine" is up - to be written live at 6.30pm every night this week

OOps, it started yesterday...

is this thread being used any more or is the thread Treacle and Ink - Alice's Blog, which I've just started reading taken over the penguin stories too?

Hi IngyW,

And welcome! A new face (especially with Violet's picture) is always valued: the more minds at work the better!

The posts on here have been a bit sporadic - more on treacle and ink; but most of the discussions are over on Unforums now:

BatGirl is doing us all proud in all three, so I keep checking back every now and again.

Cheers,

I have been reading the unfiction forum, but I just can't bring myself to create yet another username/password...I know, I'm just being lazy.

So anyway, Jacques de la Couer, the Jack of Hearts, eh? And the Knave was a thief...

You can post as a guest, don't let signing up to things put you off joining the unfiction fun

It seems to be our challenge to relate all the characters in this '7th' story back to Alice in Wonderland characters but also to tarot cards (of which Cabbage found an Alice in Wonderland pack heremade but we don't know if that is what we're aiming for or just coincidence)

I'm really wishing I'd re-read Alice before this ARG began though!

In case you haven't had a chance to scroll through the now fairly considerable unfiction thread, there is a wiki available for this now which Blag set up - if you want to edit it, login details are:
Email: hrbaxorsdjmiSPLATmailinator.com
Password: wonderland

Also, in case you haven't seen or received it yourself, we received the following email from Jacques de la Coeur titled M'aidez:
For your information, I shall be selling some items that may be of interest to you this week. I am, forgive me, distraught. My darling Bella has left me and because she is inscrutable demands that I present her with gifts that show my love. She specifies: poetry, sketches, flowers, cakes and so on. Romantic gestures; I am at a loss.

However, if you can help me, I will have something of interest for you. I will conduct in-person transactions on Thursday evening (Thursday 10th April) between 5.30pm and 6pm in the Jerusalem Tavern, 55 Britton Street, Clerkenwell, London, EC1M 5UQ.

Please pass this information on to anyone who may be able to help me. I promise that you will not go unrewarded.

I present to you my most pleasant greetings,
Jacques de la Coeur

So some of us will be meeting at Smith's of Smithville beforehand and we will be taking things to make Bella happy, including some poetry from veebee and some muffins I'll be baking tonight!

EDIT: Also, Chelec has been putting together a despoiler wiki which you might find useful in case there are any bits you have missed as to how we know certain information (and a fresh pair of eyes might help us find the things we have missed!)

Maybe that's the final day - the penguin stories will all be finished by then. the 30th April is the closing date for the competition.

But if the competition began mid-March (when the Mad Tea Party began) and ends around the end of April, could it mean that something will happen on May 4 (the real Alice's birthday and the day that Alice went down the rabbit hole in the story)?

or is it just that "m'aidez" means "help me" and nothing more?
