I'm an aussie but managed to use google once I'd made the substitutions.

I enjoyed this puzzle very much but didn't need to carry any values to get the answer.

Likewise once you decode the slang for some of the items they readily translate to monetary values. Place them in the right columns for '£' , shillings 's' and 'd' pence (why a 'd' for pence BTW?) then add your columns!

It's Latin for something, I think. Check Wikipedia!

From Wikipedia:
The old abbreviation for the penny, d, was derived from the Roman denarius.

The first clue ("Friends" spinoff) has several possible answers (as does the Kingdom from "The Princess Bride").

At least according to Wikipedia and other, less well-known sites (a guide to Cockney slang, for instance).

Anyone know if multiple answers are allowed on this, or do I just try combinations until one of them works?

To answer my own question, those clues have multiple answers, but some are more recent than others. A good page for people doing this one is:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coins_of_the_pound_sterling
Also, search for cockney slang coins to find some of the slang terms.
