I believe that there is a typo on this card - Catherine's given value should be 223 and not 233 as stated

Could someone tell me if I'm going in the right direction?

Judging by the closeness of the scores for Laura and Lauren it seems that a straight letter-value swap might be the 'secret rule' but this theory falls over when you get to Catherine unless certain letters (or all letters) are variable(s). Should I be looking for the reason why Catherine can have two possible answers, or does that come out in the wash?

that plays a part. you should look for letter subsutions that are hard enought to be on a black card. also, look at the location of the names on the card. (the physical location the guy's standing in ON the card). Once i got that, i was like, duhhhh!

Woo hoo! This was my 1st unassisted black solve. A fun and satisfying solve. But i'm glad my first anwser was right cause I couldn't work out the 223 solution. Could somebody post or P.M it 4 me 4 curiosities sake? p-wease?
