Hey everyone,
I've got some exciting news for all the Perplex City fans! We've finally managed to take time out from building Moshi Monsters and will be putting wave 2 of the new puzzles cards on sale in the next few days. Wave 2 is made up of 86 new puzzle cards with the usual spread of difficulties, from red to silver. With the new cards comes a very special offer. We'll be selling entire boxes of cards (that's 36 packs) for only £20. If you haven't got all the wave 1 cards yet, you'll also be able to pick those up for the same price. This won't last long, and it'll be your last chance to get hold of wave 1. They'll be exclusive to Firebox from tomorrow, so get your orders in while you can. NB. The codes on wave 2 cards won't work on We Love Puzzles, so you won't get points for solving them. However, we will be releasing the solutions at some point in the future, so keep your eyes peeled. As much as we'd love to bring back the Perplex City ARG, there are sadly no plans to do that in the short-term. We simply felt it would be far better to release these puzzle cards to our loyal fans rather than letting them gather dust in our warehouse. Thanks for your continued interest! Jey @ Mind Candy |

If the cards have been ready in the warehouse for all this time, how come the codes aren't already in the database? Ooh, excellent news  Might buy a box just for fun (and because I can't resist a bargain  )
Thanks for finally doing this! It's been a long time coming, but at last we've got some progress 
(Incidentally, everyone, I've got the powers to make threads for all the cards in the Season 2 forum. It's unlikely that I'll get hold of every single card, but I'll do as many as I can as and when. If someone wants to compile a list or something when they get their cards, feel free )

At least it confirms that PXC is finally over. Indeed, whilst I fear this is the most probable scenario, who knows? Maybe there's still something left in this? I mean, MC said before that they would release the cards in the future and now they have (albeit without points,  ).
I'm gonna stick around anyway and hope something good comes out of this... |

Woo, best kept secret, bolt from the blue and all that!!
What crossed my mind, was how will we know that we have the correct answers to any of the S2W2 cards until the solutions are published? I guess that we will be fairly sure of most of the red-purple solutions once we've worked them out, though I seem to remember Home Town, Trailhead, 600 Meter Cadence and others causing problems in the past (not to mention Cow Cow Cow Cow Cow in S1W4!) But I could confidently say, for example, that "5 cows is the answer to 13th Labour" and everyone might agree and stop trying to solve it. We would only find out that this is incorrect when the solutions are published, at which point we now know the correct answer without actually solving it. What this extremely long post is trying to suggest is, could the codes/answers for the black and silver cards (say) be put into the database, not necessarily for points, but so that we can enter answers/guesses and see if they are correct. This should mean only a quarter of the work, possibly even less, because there are numerically so many less blacks and silvers released than red-purples. Just a thought, but anyway, just glad they are finally coming out and I can continue to fill my S2 card wallet. S

Yeah, at last. But what a shame about the whole PXC game thing. Oh well at least we'll get to see the last of the cards, and there'll be a bit more to do around here. I'm looking forward to it.
One Question, Do MC have any of the season 2 binders that they might be putting on Firebox as well, to store these new cards in? I'm guessing there'll also be a wave3 ??? |

This is awesome, but I just happened to go to perplexcity.com today on a whim. (used to play all the time, have all the cards released before) Is it too late to get any? The link in the first post leads to a poster now...
EDIT: I are silly American. Thought that said 10/11 as in October 11th...sigh
