Well, my other two boxes arrived today and I got the last 7 cards I was looking for after only opening about a third of the card packs in the boxes (opened half of one box and about a third of the other). This means I have a lot of unopened packs with at least one silver card (probably 2) and several blacks left to find.
All the silvers were showing their backs when I looked through, when the other cards in the pack were showing their fronts. Now do I try to sell the individual packs I have left on ebay or open them and try to swap for the Season 1 silvers I don't have? Hmmm.. decisions, decisions. |

Well, having ordered my boxes the day they came out I finally got back home and opened one of the boxes. Got 2 silvers (which was slightly underwhelming) and both were facing the same direction as the rest of the cards. What I did find though was that most packs had one or two cards upside-down. | ||||

one of my packs had 6 cards instead of 7, knowing my luck it was a silver that was missing.
And yes all the silvers were facing the opposite direction. I did actually get 3 packs in a row which had the exact same cards in the exact same order. |

Well the second box had 4 silvers in it so that makes up for the first box at least. These two boxes had no structure at all with blacks and silvers in packs completely at random. All the silvers were facing the right direction (unlike everyone else's) and I find it boggling that after 2 boxes I got swaps for most of the black cards, a silver swap, but not a single swap for no. 147, a blue card. | ||||

In the two boxes I got were eight different silvers and all the other colour-sets were complete!
So I only need 'Pentominoes' and 'Illuminating' for the full set! [I've already solved 'Pentominoes' from the card-details posted on the forum - that would never happen in the good old days of scratching the silver section.] |

I just had a pleasant thing happen to me...
as i was putting down my cards for the night in the S2W2 box (on top of all the opened packets i kept in a slightly OCD way) i found that i had not opened one packet - i equate this experience to when you find there is one last After Eight left in the box with all the empty packets - and what was in that packet? a lovely shiny silver (241 En Passant) - Love it. Good things come to those who wait (or some other such rubbish platitude). Nick. (Syllable3) P.s. that made 4 in total in that box (238, 239, 241 & 243) |

From memory, all briefs for Season 2 were done before S2 Wave 1 came out (I was told to stop submitting for the time being until work on S3 started). When the graphic design for Wave 3 was done, I don't know. Peter Blake whose welovepuzzles account got deleted
