Reply to Jezza (28.3)
You could try changing your security level. Once you have downloaded the simulator and saved it to a file, open it then click Tools then Options. Then select the tab called Security, then click the box called Macro Security. Set this to Low then OK the changes. Then come out of the simulator and say yes to save changes to file? When you next open the file it should work (it did for me). Hope this helps. This worked for me. Sorry if you already know this. Thanks Twixtwolf - really helpful. I'm having fun trying different options. Still haven't got it lower than ten moves though....

I very much did not like this card. I think the reason is the same reason many people are struggling. Spoilered anyway.

Spoiler: (highlight to read)

Marbles are ROUND. If one marble is held immobile and another is heading straight for it, the other will roll around the first to the left or to the right (depending on the precise positions of the centres of the marbles, and/or which way your hand twitches or the breeze blows on each particular play of the game).

In short:

This obviously isn't the sort of puzzle my brain can 'see' - I figured out from the start that the key to the solution would be in working backwards, in a sense, but I can't even see a route into the pit!! The simulator is great but I'm still just sliding marbles all over and getti9ng nowhere near the Pit. I'm so angry over this card! Grrr!

Sorry, but that "solution" doesn't work. After the 7th move, the marble is close to the top-left corner.
Have you tried using Twixwolf's simulator?
I think you'll find that you need to use a different approach and slightly more moves...
